The Spin Theory
By Bboy Smurf

Pedro "Smurf" Quintanilla is a Latino visual artist born and raised in Los Angeles, now living in Las Vegas. With over 25 years of experience in both breaking (breakdancing) and visual art, Smurf began his creative journey on the streets of Hollywood and Venice with his Los Angeles-based crew, Concrete Allstars. His talent eventually led him to compete professionally on a global scale with the legendary "Mighty Zulu Kingz."
Smurf's art is deeply connected to his community, often depicting the dancers and peers who have influenced his path. His work captures the vibrant energy of breaking, using a graffiti-based style that adds authenticity to his pieces. Today, Smurf is based in Las Vegas, where he tattoos in his studio, creates murals, canvases, and art installations, organizes events, and teaches art to kids through the "Alchemy Breaking" summer program.
